Example Itinerary
Day One - Arrival at Whitehorse. Upon arriving at Whitehorse International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your knowledgeable and friendly Tour Director, who will accompany you throughout your Yukon adventure. Depending on your arrival time, you'll have some time to relax before joining the group for an orientation.
Day Two—Today, you will enjoy a guided tour of the city, exploring historic sites like the restored S.S. Klondike and a log "skyscraper." As you travel through the capital, learn about the city's Gold Rush past and its place in the wilderness. In the afternoon, visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve to see native animals like bison, moose, and lynx, followed by a relaxing soak at the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs.
Day Three - Your day begins with a scenic drive south along the Alaska and South Klondike Highways, heading toward the traditional territory of the Carcross Tagish First Nation and the village of Carcross on Lake Bennett. Along the way, you'll explore Emerald Lake’s stunning turquoise waters, visit the Carcross Desert (the world’s smallest desert), and visit the Yukon Suspension bridge for lunch with mountain vistas before heading to Carcross, where you'll see the historic shops, and the Carcross Commons, home to a local artist market. Afterward, return to your hotel in the early evening.
Day Four - Today, embark on a full-day adventure west along the Alaska Highway to Kluane National Park and the village of Haines Junction. As the largest national park in Canada and a UNESCO World Heritage site, Kluane is home to Mount Logan, Canada's tallest peak, and vast non-polar ice fields. After stopping at the Kluane National Park Visitor Centre and Da Kų Cultural Centre to learn about the region’s First Nations history, you'll visit Kathleen Lake, where you can enjoy stunning mountain views, a lakeshore stroll, or a short hike for elevated scenery. Return to Whitehorse for a relaxing evening after a day filled with natural beauty.
Day Five - Today, embark on a scenic adventure onboard the famous White Pass & Yukon Route narrow gauge train. Known as one of the world's most beautiful historic train journeys, the ride will take you through mountains, past crystal blue lakes, and over the White Pass Summit, ultimately reaching the historic gold rush town of Skagway, Alaska. After a short stop to explore Skagway’s shops and capture photos, you'll return to Whitehorse.
Day Six -Enjoy a leisure day in the Wilderness City, where you can explore at your own pace. Visit the McBride Museum or browse the local art galleries. For the more adventurous, optional activities like paddling the Yukon River, hiking in the surrounding wilderness, or taking a flightseeing tour for a stunning bird’s-eye view of the area are available. Join your group for a special farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate your memorable Yukon adventure.
